Dubai's 100 Villas as they used to be!

100 Villas was a 1970s development of low cost / low rent Villas built located towards Jebel Ali on the coast. The Development comprised 100 Villas and became know as the "100 Villas". 100 Villas became a popular place to live although out of town mainly because of its location near the beach. International Air Radio leased many of the Villas for their staff. No further Villas were built after the initial development. Over time the Villas deteriorated. "New" Dubai recognised the value of this land and Hotels were planned for the area. Around year 2000 the "100 Villas" were demolished. Four of the Villas were retained as offices for a "secret" project. That "secret" project was Palm Island.
